Brothers Bistro: Authentic Vietnamese Flavors in Springfield

Great solid spot for Vietnamese food. I haven't tried the pho there but here are the dishes I tried and highly recommend: Com ga ro ti - crispy chicken marinaded in a delicious sweet and savory sauce. If you're familiar with Vietnamese quail dishes this is basically using the same sauce but on a big quarter piece of chicken. Really good! Hen Xuc Banh Da - shredded clams eaten with crispy rice crackers. Must try, great appetizers that is easy and fun to eat Banh Xeo - Vietnamese crepe stuff with vegetables, beef and pork. Cooked very well and great "light" entree that won't make you feel heavy afterwards. Com tam dac biet special - a large entree with grilled pork, shrimp, tofu, shredded pork, and an egg. This is a big dish and will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Overall everything we had was super delicious. A must try solid place for traditional Vietnamese food with a little bit of something for everyone. Highly recommend especially for those wanting to try Vietnamese food for the first time.

Ever since discovering this place, I have been coming here at least once a month. I absolutely absolutely absolutely love the food and its quality. Ive visited Vietnam before & this place makes me want to book another trip asap. Pro tip: get Vietnamese coffee!

Wow. This may be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Northern Virginia, and that comes with a lot of competition. Who would think a place in a strip mall that could be the name for an Italian pizza joint would acheive that. The snails were really unique, with a great sauce. The lemongrass chicken was also great. We've been back twice, and will be back again.

We went on a Tuesday for lunch. It was fairly empty and the waitress was nice. The pho was very flavorful and the summer rolls were very good and fresh! The place was quiet and everything was very clean. The price is a little expensive and the waitress and waiter never stopped by after delivering the food so we didn't have water after the first fill... it was also hard to flag them down because she was sitting with her back facing our table while snipping bean sprouts. Overall very good food - pretty mid service.

It's hard to find authentic Vietnamese food in the DMV area, but this place is definitely the best I found so far. We ordered a few dishes and everything was great. - Goi cuon: I found the pork to be a bit chewy, but it tasted good otherwise - Bun thit nuong: This is one of my favorite dishes, and they make it very well. You can really taste the lemongrass in it. - Banh xeo: It's rare to find a place that can make it without getting soggy, but they can. It comes with rice paper so you can make your own rolls. It was very tasty. The crepe itself could have been a bit crispier, but so good nonetheless - Tom rim man (caramelized shrimp): This dish was very tasty. The sauce was incredible and had the right amouny of spice. Overall, it's a bit of a drive for me, but 100% worth it

I used to come to this place all the time before it was sold, so I was really interested to see how much it has changed. The ambiance is very nice, and has a new modern look to it. It's a great place to come for celebrations since they accommodate for large parties. Food wise, I wish I had better things to say. If you don't have high standards for Vietnamese food, this is a great place to try. The pho broth was great, it was very hearty. The vermicelli had a great flavor, but the meat could have been a bit saucier. I love my vermicelli with more dressing, but it wasn't bad. Overall, it was OK. Considering the price, I would not say it's worth around $20 for something you can try elsewhere. If you're planning to visit with a large party, I definitely think it's a nice place to go to. Just consider that the prices have drastically increased. The service was good, as they were kind and quick with our orders. If you're willing to spend the extra money, it might be worth a try. It's a great place to meet with friends or family, it just comes with a high price.

I had heard great things about Brothers and couldn't wait to try the food here. I must say the food here lived up to the hype. The interior is nothing special, very basic, but that's not why you come here. The shrimp summer rolls we started off with were so good, the wrappers come out dry and you dip them in water to soften just enough before you roll your own. This took a bit of instruction from our server to get the texture just right, but there is nothing like a fresh wrapped summer roll to start your meal! The pho here was a hit, delicious broth with heaps of noodles. The brisket and tai were tender and melted in your mouth. We also ordered the fish and shrimp hot pot, which was the highlight of our meal. The sauce they cooked this in (I think mostly black bean with carmelized sugar and soy) was delightful. The fish was super tender and went beautifully with some white rice. Overall we had a fantastic lunch at Brothers. Every dish was executed perfectly and the service is friendly and attentive. I can't wait to let more of my friends know about this hidden gem.

I dined solo and was very pleased with everything! There were a number of patrons, but I was seated and attended to promptly. I ordered the two things following: Banh xeo: delicious! Perfectly crispy with the perfect amount of fresh herbs and nuoc cham to accompany the crepe. I ate have zero shame eating these by myself bc they are THAT good. Baby clam clay pot: so good!!! I had never ordered a clay pot rice dish before this, and I was kicking myself for never having tried sooner. The flavors were so good, and I loved the subtle crunch of the rice from being cooked in a clay pot. Absolutely will be ordering again!
